This liqueur is the embodiment of Saskatchewan summer. Enjoy it on its own or as a part of a Saskatoon Berry Lemonade. The double Sous-vide method creates a fresh and full-bodied flavour.
6 cups Saskatoon berries
3 cups sugar
4 cups vodka
Place ingredients in a jar and keep in a cool, dark place. Allow to infuse for 2 weeks to 3 months.
Set sous-vide water bath to 140 degrees. Place 3 cups saskatoon berries, sugar, and vodka inside a plastic ziplock or vacuum sealer bag and remove air. Place bag inside sous-vide water bath and allow to infuse for 2 hours. Strain the liquid and add an additional 3 cups of saskatoon berries and return to the water bath to infuse for another 2 hours.
